Christmas Portraits 2018

If you have a photo that you would love to see transformed into a display-ready painting or drawing (at a very special price for Christmas) please get in touch!

What styles are available?

There are three styles to choose from, so that you have an idea of the portrait you will receive.

Requests to incorporate specific colours or add a date or symbol within the painting or drawing that may be personal to you are encouraged, I am always happy to discuss this as each portrait is unique.

Oil paint on paper is the love child of printmaking and traditional oil painting on canvas, meanwhile pencil on paper portraits offer a classic rawness, each is a modern and charming present that stands the test of time.

The styles include:

Realistic - the truest depiction of your photo, a classic and lifelike image (pencil on paper)

Semi-abstract - bright, vibrant and full of resemblance, with swirled and skewed elements (oil paint on paper)

Abstract - parts of physical appearance balanced with otherworldly elements to offer clues about personality (oil paint on paper)

How much is does a Christmas portrait cost & what does this include?

£55 - A3 portrait in oils on 290gsm Canson acid-free painting paper

£45 - A3 portrait in pencil on Fabriano acid-free paper

All portraits come protected within a Krystal Seal archival quality sleeve, ready for display or framing.

The price is an introductory limited time offer and includes Royal Mail postage and packaging.

How do I purchase a Christmas portrait?

The easiest way to commission a portrait is by sending an email of the photo you would like to recreate to: studio@alicjamrozowska.co.uk with the subject ‘Christmas Portrait’.

High quality images are best, however photos taken on phones are generally fine.

I will get in touch with you in less than 24 hours to discuss what style you are looking for, and to confirm the time scale, payment and delivery details.

You may include your phone number, I am happy to call you to go over all of the details this way.

Once we agree on the concept for the painting or drawing, and the payment has been made, I will start work on your portrait.

You may choose to pay the full amount upfront or split the payment into a deposit and second payment upon seeing a work in progress image, with the opportunity for changes, suggestions or cancellation.

As a recent graduate and emerging artist, unfortunately I cannot afford to refund payments unless I haven’t started working on the portrait yet.

Changing your mind is only human and I will certainly refund you if you contact me in time!

Does the number of people in the photo affect the price?

Nope, you can have as many or as few people in the portrait as you like!

Does the portrait have to be of a person?

Nope, pet portraits are strongly encouraged.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions regarding this offer or other commissions. Thank you.
